Altough only a 3rd of a way through this book..... My friends you should read this! I've found it enjoyable and the memories have flooded back to me of a yesteryear when I 1st got into rock music and wanted to be in a band! I'll post more when I finish the book or maybe before!

I just finished reading this book and found it enjoyable. It bought back a lot of memories for me of getting into Rock music and then moving on into the Glam period. Can't say I agreed with all of the comments that were made in the book, but it is obviously only one person's memories and thoughts of the times. There would of been things I may of added to it but they were m experiences of the time. Anyway I enjoyed it overall.
I now find my self wanting to hear some of the bands that Seb Hunter played in, out of curiousity, Trash Can Junkies and Cat Balou? Anyone got any stuff?

A piece from the book surprised me.
While talking about UK Glam bands , the author went on to say that the UK scene had two main contenders... namely Tigertailz at one end of the spectrem, and Dogs D'Amour at the other.

The Dogs were described as..... "perfect." followed by... "All that the UK scene had thrown up before the Dogs, had been dreary Rod Stewart copists the Quireboys, dogged two-chord pantomine fools Wrathchild, and a pathetic trickle of nobodies from Coventry with a 'Z' in their name somewhere"

That last bit I found quite amusing! lol I wonder who he was thinking of?????
