| Supported this lot in Cov once, about three songs in (Phone Song Andy?) went through my snare skin, played the rest of the song like Adam & The Ants all Burundi drumming on the toms etc. at the end of the song asked their drummer if I could use his snare to finish our set as I hadn't brought a spare skin or snare and he wouldn't let me so we had to leave the stage.

Always hated sharing a bill with them cos they were arrogant and their music bored the feckin pants off me. And their drummer was a TOSSER!!! lol

| As I said they're were arrogant & bored the pants off me but to tell you the truth I'm probably just remembering the attitude of the drummer. I seem to remember Troy & Andy having a bit of a good tempered rivalry and we played a good few gigs with em (maybe including The Betty Swollocks band). As for the music, I just don't like the blues, bit of a punk rocker at heart. Never said they were shit, just I found the music not my cup of tea.............. |

| You are so protective of your band that it's clouding your sense of humour, people are entitled to have their own opinions, just because someone doesn't like your music or get on with certain members of the band it's not the end of the world. I'm sure there's lots of bands that you don't like and probably, if you've gigged enough you've come across some arseholes in your time, we all have. It's admirable that you defend your music and your band members but don't alienate yourself from other people in the bargain, it aint worth it, it's enough that you believe in what you do and thats all that should matter, if you hadn't been so patronising in your recent post to me perhaps I would have been in a different frame of mind when Iistened to your track, now I tend to deal with people on here as I do in real life, so either shake hands or fuck off............your call |
| I agree whole heartedly with JB & some of Marshy's comments. It all stems from me saying I found the band arrogant & their music bored me. As is well documented the drummer fucked me over (once when we supported Shady deal & worse when he was in Betty Swollocks & supported the Gutter Cats) so that would prejudice my opinion of those bands. As for the music, I just don't like Blues or Rhythm n Blues, it bores me to tears. I never said they were shit or shit at what they do............ |

| No, he's not anybody I know really, he's the ex-guitarist from Coventry band Shady Deal (hence how he came to Andy's pages) who the Gutter Cats shared many a bill with. I feel responsible for all this shit as it was my flippant remark (made in jest by the looks of it) that has created this mess. :-( I'm just trying to diffuse the situation as best I can.
As for the Reg Presley quote, trust me if I'd been in the Troggs he would've seen lots more stars and a lot less f@cking aliens.
